Annabell Ison: Spiderweb Sunset

During the horribly damp summer of 2012, I was finding that after the day had rained itself out Id be left with a cloudless sky around sunset. No good for interesting Landscape photography! One evening I spotted a spiders web facing the sunset and wondered if I could refract the horizon into water drops suspended from the web. I have done lots of macro work at home where I refract flowers in water drops, so why not the sunset? The suns strong light acted as a natural ‘flash’ for me, and the result is what you see here.
